How To Become A successful
Bodybuilder
The Muscles Are In Your Head
Author:Kris Frederiksen
A huge part of yor success in building muscle is
the psychological aspect.Do you believe that you can gain a mass amount of lean muscle? Can you picture yourself
with 20-50 lbs. of rock hard muscles,or do you only envision yourself with 3-5 pounds? Do you have enough faith and
confidence in youurself to get the job done? Are you completely committed to your goals? Are you able to stay
entirely focused while working out?
These are the important questions that you need to ask
yourself if you are truly serious about building muscle.Believing that you can achieve your muscle-building goals
is no different than believing you can land that oh so important job,or earning that sought after diploma. If you
don't truly believe that you can succeed, you won't.On the other hand, believing you can is half the battle to
victory!
Staying focused on your muscle-building journey is also
extremely imperative. You need to always be conscious of what you are feeding your body;eat a diet of proven
muscle-building foods.Cut out the junk.
When you are at the gym, concentrate on your workout;don't let your eyes wander to the cute girl/guy on the
treadmill. If you want to gain big muscle, you have to stay focused and not allow any distractions whatsoever.Keep
your time in the gym short but effective.By this I mean don't be spending two hours in the gym lifting weights;take
shorter rest periods.Wear a stopwatch to track your progress.
When choosing a bodybuilding program, research it and
ask the author any questions you may have.Make sure you fully understand all the elements of the program. You will
also want to consider your needs and decide whether the program is right for you,and if it is geared to meet your
particular needs. If you are a hardgainer you will have different needs than a person whom is genetically blessed
and can easily and effortlessly pack on lean muscle mass. The hardgainer also has different needs than a guy who is
spending thousands of dollars a month on steroids.Therfore, don't purchase a program developed by a guy like
this, buy from someone who is a hardgainer like yourself. After all,you wouldn't ask for money advice from someone
whom inherited their fortune,so don't ask for advice on bodybuilding from a guy whom consumes steroids or naturally
bulks out.
Another thing I would like to mention is the term
"hardgainer".You may very well be a hardgainer, but there is no such thing as a no-gainer! In addition,it is not a
good idea to label yourself as a hardgainer.Once you do,you will be thinking as one,and will then begin believing
you can't gain muscle, and therefore you won't.You need to think of yourself as a bodybuilding machine;and with true
committment, focus and a good sense of confidence, you will be.
